I will be installing the speaker in the ceiling. How do you deal with the insulation in the ceiling? My home has blown in insulation (foam pellets). Do you have to put something over the speaker to keep the insulation off the speaker once installed?

It would be nice for you to hook your audio cable into the back. How is that done? I didn't see where you would put the + and - ?

Hi, I have a question for you! My tv is off centered on the wall so there's a 2x4 in the way. I tried to move the tv, but it would end up in the corner/off center of the room. So if I cut the 2x4 that sits in the middle of the speaker that I'm installing, would I still be able to put in the speaker box? how would I cut and brace the 2x4 I just cut? I have Definitive in wall speakers 7w x 28 inches long. The speaker sits in a box that comes with the speaker. Once the box is installed, the wall speaker goes in after mounting the box. I know it's a pain! thought this was going to be relatively simple but the stud stopped it. Can you help?

Great video. I was putting the Polk RC65i in-wall speakers in the family room and didn't want to create more work for myself by missing something. Thank you Norman! Your tip for using the sheetrock saw helped me for sure. Cutting on the outside edge of the template line to allow for a little wiggle room for leveling the speaker was spot on. Pointing out that the clear plastic piece of material in the box was to protect the speaker when painting and the technique for painting the grill were also welcomed tips.

It would be great if you had a close up when marking the wall, when removing the grill, and showing the torpedo level.

Good video. You should make another one for wiring including using fish tape.
